Customer

By purchasing products or services via JJ-Service Oy’s online store or sales channels, the customer agrees to comply with these general terms and any provider-specific conditions.

Ordering

General terms and conditions

  • All prices listed in the online service are subject to VAT.

  • Accommodation prices are subject to dynamic pricing and may vary depending on the season, month, week, or day.

  • Products and services are sold to adult private individuals and corporate customers.

  • JJ-Service Oy reserves the right to change prices.

  • The customer is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided.

  • JJ-Service Oy reserves the right to change the terms of delivery. Customers must review the applicable terms before confirming a booking or purchase.

Booking Terms

These terms apply to all bookable and rentable products and services, hereinafter collectively referred to as “the property”.

Making a Booking

  • Customers are responsible for familiarising themselves with the property description, any instructions, and the applicable booking terms.

  • A booking becomes binding when the order/payment confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer.

  • The booking must be paid using the selected payment method and in accordance with its terms.

  • The booking system will automatically send an order/payment confirmation to the customer’s email.

  • JJ-Service Oy is not liable for unsuccessful bookings. The customer must immediately contact the service provider to resolve any issues. JJ-Service Oy cannot guarantee that the property remains available in such situations. If the property is no longer available, the customer will be offered a refund or, if possible, a suitable alternative.

Cancellations and changes

  • The cancellation date is defined as the date on which JJ-Service Oy receives the cancellation notice.

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is submitted in good time.

  • If the customer cancels the booking:

    • 28 days or more before the start date, a handling fee of €75 will be charged.

    • 14–27 days before the start date, 50% of the rental price will be charged.

    • Less than 14 days before the start date, the full rental price will be charged.

    • For bookings made using a discount code, the full rental price will always be charged regardless of the cancellation date.

  • A reservation may be transferred upon customer request under the following conditions:

    • The booking can be transferred only once.

    • The property cannot be changed during the transfer.

    • The transfer must be requested at least 30 days before the original start date.

    • A €20 transfer fee (incl. VAT) will apply.

    • If a transferred reservation is later cancelled, the full rental price will be charged regardless of the timing.

Service Provider’s Right to Cancel

  • In the event of force majeure, JJ-Service Oy has the right to cancel the rental agreement. The customer will be notified without delay.

  • In such cases, the customer is entitled to a full refund of any fees paid.

  • JJ-Service Oy is not liable for any other costs the customer may incur due to cancellation caused by force majeure.

  • JJ-Service Oy also reserves the right to cancel a reservation within 24 hours of booking in the case of a duplicate reservation. All payments will be refunded, but the customer will not be compensated for any indirect costs or losses.

Keys

  • Instructions for key pick-up will be provided in the booking/payment confirmation.

  • In the case of a lost or unreturned key, the owner has the right to charge the full cost of rekeying or lock replacement, with a minimum fee of €100.

  • If JJ-Service Oy is required to open the property due to a lost or inaccessible key, a minimum fee of €75 will be charged.

Use of the Property

  • The rental includes access to the property as described in the property listing, along with its equipment and any separately specified services.

  • If the customer notices any deficiencies or issues, they must immediately notify the person responsible for reservations.

  • The customer is responsible for keeping the property clean and removing all waste during and after their stay.

  • Final cleaning is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

  • If the property is left uncleaned, JJ-Service Oy will charge a cleaning fee of €100 plus €25/hour.

  • The property is available to the customer only during the period specified in the property description.

    Pets

  • The customer is fully responsible and liable for any damage caused by their pets.

  • Pets must be kept on a leash in the national park area.

  • Pets may not be left unattended in the accommodation.

  • Pet owners must ensure the accommodation remains clean and tidy. The property will always be inspected after a stay with pets, and additional cleaning will be carried out by JJ-Service Oy if needed.

  • Properties that allow pets are marked accordingly.

  • Pet owners must also comply with any specific pet-related guidelines provided for the property.The pet owner must also follow any specific instructions that may be issued.

Special Terms for Rental Equipment

  • Customers must read and follow all safety and usage instructions related to the rental equipment. Equipment must be used with care and only for its intended purpose. The renter agrees to perform a safety check during the rental period. Equipment may not be taken outside of Finland or sublet to others. Equipment may only be used in accordance with these terms and in environments suitable to the user’s skills and experience. All equipment is used at the customer’s own risk.

  • For water sports equipment (e.g., canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, rowing boats), the customer confirms they can swim and have prior experience using the equipment.

  • Equipment must be returned immediately at the end of the rental period, to the agreed location, in clean condition and in the same state as it was at the beginning of the rental. If the return is delayed, the customer must inform JJ-Service Oy immediately. JJ-Service Oy reserves the right to charge 100% of the regular daily rental price for any overtime unless otherwise agreed.

  • The customer is liable for any damage or costs resulting from negligent or improper use, or poor maintenance of the equipment. The customer must compensate JJ-Service Oy for lost or destroyed equipment at its full replacement value. The customer is responsible for following all transport, safety, and other relevant regulations. Any defects in the equipment must be reported to JJ-Service Oy immediately.

  • JJ-Service Oy is responsible for repairs caused by normal wear and tear. JJ-Service Oy is not liable for any direct or indirect costs or damages caused to the customer due to the use or malfunction of the equipment. JJ-Service Oy is not obligated to replace broken equipment during the rental or reimburse any resulting interruption costs.

Compensation for Damages

  • The customer is liable for any damage caused to the property or its contents during the rental period.

  • The customer is also responsible for the actions of all other guests present at the property during the reservation.

  • JJ-Service Oy is not responsible for inconvenience or costs resulting from natural conditions such as insects, wildlife, poor road conditions, or sudden weather changes.

Complaints

  • Any complaints must be made as soon as possible after the issue arises.

  • If the matter cannot be resolved satisfactorily, or if it involves a claim for compensation, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month of the end of the rental period.

  • JJ-Service Oy will aim to process all complaints as quickly as possible, and no later than within one month.

  • If the customer and JJ-Service Oy cannot reach an agreement, the dispute may be submitted to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.

Delivery Terms

Formation of Contract

  • A binding contract is established once the order has been confirmed (order confirmation or payment confirmation).

  • The confirmation will be sent to the customer by email

Cancellations and Returns

  • Products are subject to a 14-day right of return under Finnish Consumer Protection legislation.

  • Returned items must be in their original, unused condition and include any original, undamaged packaging.

  • Please contact the sales department for detailed return instructions.

  • The right of return does not apply to engraved or personalised products, accommodation services, restaurant services, or other leisure services booked for a specific time.

  • The customer is responsible for the regular costs of returning items.

Product Warranty

  • We follow the warranty terms defined by the product manufacturer or importer.

Delivery

  • Delivery charges include postage and packaging. Final delivery costs are shown once you select your preferred delivery and payment method in the shopping cart.

Payment Terms

  • JJ-Service Oy uses reliable and secure payment service providers.

  • JJ-Service Oy does not store any bank or credit card information.

  • The customer agrees to comply with the terms of the selected payment method.

  • Payment by invoice

    • The invoice must be paid by its due date. However, the booking must be paid in full before the start of the stay, even if the due date is later.

      Late payments will incur penalty fees. If the invoice is paid after the due date shown on the original invoice and penalty fees have already accrued, those fees will be invoiced separately.

  • If the payment transaction has not been successfully completed at the time of the order, the order will not be processed.
