Always before departure: Please remember to tidy up the yard and lakeshore areas, and clean the gas grill and the boat if you used them.
Did you purchase the final cleaning service?
Great! A cleaner will arrive after your departure. However, before you leave, please make sure to:
Wash the dishes or run the dishwasher and put the dishes back in their place.
Empty the bins and take the rubbish bags to the waste station – recycle if possible!
Empty the cupboards, freezer, and fridge of any food you brought.
Take empty bottles and cans with you or place them at the waste station (do not put them in mixed waste bins).
Return all furniture to its original position.
If you rented bed linen, remove the sheets from the beds and leave them with the towels on the bed.
Please note: Failure to follow these steps will result in an additional cleaning fee.
If you did not purchase the final cleaning...
Please remember to clean the cottage thoroughly before you leave. We kindly ask you to follow these steps:
Vacuum the floors and carpets, then mop the floors with a damp mop.
Wash the dishes or run the dishwasher and put the dishes back in place.
Empty the bins and take the rubbish bags to the waste station – recycle if possible!
Empty the cupboards, freezer, and fridge of any food you brought.
Take empty bottles and cans with you or place them at the waste station (do not put them in mixed waste bins).
Return all furniture to its original position.
Clean all surfaces: kitchen sink, stove, oven, fridge, microwave, and tables.
Clean the toilet, sinks, sauna, and washroom.
If you used the yard, barbecue, or outdoor shelters, please ensure they are clean.
If you rented bed linen, remove the sheets from the beds and leave them with the towels on the bed.
Shake out the bedding outdoors.
Cleaning must be completed on the day of departure.
